It does not matter why they did it and whether they were dirty, they were RIGHT regarding the invasion. France, China, Russia and 200 other countries were RIGHT. Bush and Bush lovers like you were WRONG and don't even have the guts to admit it.

The invasion did not work and you have the arrogance to suggest it should be a lesson... Who do you think it should be a lesson for? For me, for Z10, for the 6 billion people on the planet who knew exactly how it would end? We are all in this together; thats the fact jack..What we need to figure out is our best course of action moving forward..considering there are only 2 things we can do ( maybe 3 or 4 but thats another thread ) ..what of the 2 things is our best option at this point; please explain why..

I am not sure the conclusions are correct. There could be a sad truth. It might have worked had Bush's team been more capable of creating and executing a plan or backup plans.

Based on Bush's recent failures on domestic issues, one dobuts if any part of his admistration can make good analysis and decisions.

When a guy is so out of touch that he pushes for Harriet Miers for the Supreme Court and the UAE running our ports, you have to wonder about his advisors, his oversight, and his personal competence on any and every issue.

However, I still have no reason to believe John Kerry would have done better.

I realize it's a moot point, but maybe a better question might be, could Kerry have done any worse?
 
it seemed obvious to a lot of people that kerry was more qualified to fight a war in a culturally empathetic manner which is really what was needed in this particular situation. it's too bad kerry wasn't more of a standard guy's guy because i honestly believe he had the fiber to win, or at least sell a victory to the people, and leave both countries better than he found them

i guess you can't expect the masses to recognize successful qualities that they themselves don't possess
