But fortunes were made buying in the 80's and 90's in spite of those crashes because stocks had gone up so much.

The same here. Will there be a crash? I have been predicting for awhile that a crash will never occur again baring a devastating catastrophe that threatens humanity.

But why let the fear of a crash prevent you fro making money? Sitting on the sidelines or being paranoid or over analyzing will cost you money.

Update:

GOOG found resistance in the form of an intraday double top again at 698.00

Small profit on long and sidelined till tomorrows open.

Watch for a gap up and fade the heck out of it "MAYBE".

GOOG is a good company but it's gone past common sense right now and it's just a case of money flow and no place else to put it.
 
google just has so much momentum it's ridiculous... it's just too popular of a stock...even if you're right and it is overvalued I think the price can remain irrational for a long time.
