7/15/2011 - Questions re Friday Afternoon's 30-year action

Newbie question here:
This afternoon, the 30 year futures (Sept) were rising EVEN THOUGH THE /ES was rising also.

I thought then the 30 year rises, the /ES falls!

Why did this happen? Is the ES going to drop Sunday night? Is ZB going to drop sunday night? Or are both going to keep rising.

If both are going to continue rising, WHY? I thought this wasn't supposed to happen!
 
If it was just that easy all the time, this would be a pretty easy game wouldn't it?

While in theory bonds and indexes should be inversely correlated, guess what? Not all the time. That's where the market makes you work for your money.

Many markets are correlated sometimes. Some markets are correlated more than others sometimes. I think it's safe to say that nothing is correlated 100% of the time.
