Didn't you know that Zeus is the cause of lightening?
Well....we see lightening all the time, so he probably exists right?
I really don't have the time to research all of greek mythology for examples of real life correlations... but here is some interesting stuff.
The city of Troy, for example, you know....where the Trojan horse thing came from?
Well, it was discovered, and artifacts dug up.
This city was described in greek mythology, and I believe the Illiad (greek book of mythology) was actually used to locate it using geographic features described in the book.

As for zeus specifically, greek mythology speaks of Zeus often. Temples were built for him. People worshiped him. Stories of visits by Zeus exist. He was quite the ladies man
Would appear in human form and get some nookie 
But Zeus left no artifacts for us to study, no writings, etc. Similar to jesus.
