64gb ssd $50

i would use stand alone external HDD,connected via USB or better yet-specifically for backups-connected to USB on separate PC on network(some old PC) that is off,when you not making any backups.
then i would use something like acronis to create full and then incremental backups,rather than rotating.
this thing is good IMO for everything, EXCEPT backups. fast load,back testing,working with databases etc..
 
I have not used that SSD but I'd say #1 if you are going to go with an array make sure your RAID card can handle the I/O.

That's a great price for that SSD though.
