6 months in, a record low for Trump, with troubles from Russia to health care

Americans give President Donald Trump the lowest six-month approval rating of any president in polls dating back 70 years, punctuated by questions about his competence on the world stage, his effectiveness, the GOP health care plan and Russia’s role in the 2016 election.

Just 36 percent of Americans polled in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll approve of Trump’s job performance, down 6 points from his 100-day mark, itself a low. The previous president closest to this level at or near six months was Gerald Ford, at 39 percent, in February 1975.

Who cares?

Maxine Waters is well on her way to becoming the leader of the dem party.

Yeh, it's good to see the dems taking charge and finally defining who they are.

Even Immigration services gives Trump the bird.

My British-born husband takes his oath of citizenship today. In the packet for new Americans, the welcome letter from POTUS is from Obama.

Obama Is Still President In Welcome Letter Sent To New U.S. Citizens

Donald Trump may be in the White House but in some welcome letters, it’s still Barack Obama who’s commander in chief.

An administrative gaffe led to the distribution of some 200 congratulatory letters that identify Obama as the U.S. president to newly minted citizens, The Hill reported.

Aisha Sultan, a columnist for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, shared a photo of her British-born husband’s letter on Twitter Friday, raising attention to the error that was liked more than 169,000 times.

“We embrace you as a new citizen of our land, and we welcome you to the American family,” read the letter, signed by Trump’s predecessor.

Sultan wasn’t the only one finding amusement with the gaffe, as fellow Twitter users responded with an assortment of playful GIFs and stories about their own family’s experiences while becoming U.S. citizens.

Trump is at 13% approval rating in Canada. So he's at least three times more popular in the US !!! But it really doesn't matter, he was elected and enough Americans wanted him in power and even more Americans wanted Republicans in power. So whatever results good or bad are fully deserved by the American people. Most of the issues with the Republicans have been on full display for 16 years; the squabbling on health care existed throughout including forcing Obama to water down his plans. The "Tea Party" was frankly a joke and seems to be people out of touch with the world today. There are good and bad politicians for both US parties, different shades of left or right ( many posters obsession on here ) in everyone. Trump could have run for either party, it was irrelevant to his platform.

My opinion, the US two party system and partisan bs is what is harming the US, not who is in power. That and the fact Americans believe too heavily in unfettered capitalism in every aspect of their country.

Health care probably has to get so expensive and so bad that both parties have to buckle down and work with the medical profession and fix it. Maybe it's not bad enough yet to get done; they are like an alcoholic that hasn't hit bottom yet. But I don't see health care as being Trump's main issue; I don't think it's all that important to him personally. Wait until international trade hits home; that's something he's really into changing. When you mess with people's jobs, people get really upset.

Well you finally wrote something I basically agree with. It has only taken a few years.

Waters, Pelosi, and Hellary* running things. Yeah, like THAT'S what America needs.

:(

When it comes to Hellary, I always think of the pic of her and Bill walking up the ramp of Air Force 1... her in a pink outfit with a brown spot on her butt... you know a "shart shit stain"... THAT'S how I think of Hellary... SHIT STAIN!

*How is it that she's not under indictment already... ??

After the election, nobody believes your fake polls anymore. The same ones that said Hillary Hillary had a 98% chance of winning. The same polls that said Trump was only going to get 160 something electoral votes.

It's pretty obvious when republicans can body slam democrats and grab women by the pussy and still win elections, that the majority of the country actually disapproves of democrats. There is no other way to explain it. The proof is in how people vote, not polls, and losing all those special elections lately just proves most of the country doesn't like democrats.

No polls said Hillary had a 98% chance of winning because polls don't give odds of winning.Polls said that more people would vote for Hillary, and millions more did.

The fact that more people voted for the democrat candidate for president in 6 of the last 7 presidential elections shows that the majority of the country actually approves of democrats.
