When market volatility increases (like on May 6) IB dramatically raises margins. With good capitalisation like yours it isn't an issue - just something to be aware of.

Also give a try to TWS demo. Some prefer 3rd party order entry software.

Thought I'd update the journal since I stopped posting in may. Will report back in oct when I start trading 10 contracts instead of 1.

I have 2 clearly definable edges with minimal draw downs so far. Started with 10 grand and have 30 now. I'm much more confident in my trading at this point. I know edges can "stop working" so everyday I am searching for new ones during the evening. They are not your run of the mill edges using indicators either so that's why I'm pretty pumped at this point in my career.

Here is my main backtested " edge" from 2006 to now.... 1 contract was used in the backtest.

Like I said. I hope it keeps working ! But I am constantly trying to keep adapting by finding other edges too.
