I have more breathing room for stops in the ym than I do in the ES nothing more nothing less really. I have heard other things like more noobs are trading the ym because of the tick size so the pickins are easier and there is less liquidity so the market is less efficiant than the ES but those things aren't confirmed by my observations at this point. I just like the feel of the YM right now.
I do have enough capital to trade the ES but I'm still trying to stay small . This includes spending more time on the YM and 6b so I can use LARGER timeframes Like the hourly or 4 hour to find good points of confluence and have the appropriate stop distance while staying true to my risk management rules.

Again, This isn't due to careless risk management it is due to being on the right side of the black swan windfall on May 6th.
Still need to work on my over trading because commissions are adding up too much for my liking. I need to stop saying that and start ACTING. My risk management discipline is fine but it is the over trading discipline I need to implant into my brain.

Seems like last weeks 9k day was really your deal breaker and you caught the right side of it ....
don't know how much leverage you use, but IB usually requires high levels of margin. To the reckless, that is bad. To the careful...
