Someone was giving away books!!!! It has been done before here, and I've gotten my free book from these people. So when someone comes and tries to give people a free gift with absolutely no strings you come in and ban them Baron? That's a-hole like behavior.
 
Disagree. If a chat vendor showed up and offered a 'free' month of calls, would that be acceptable. Or any other vendor that offers something free but points you to their website to get it. If Baron allowed one vendor to do this then he would be opening the door to other vendors to get free advertising here in return for offering a discount or freebie. I think in the larger picture it was the right thing to do even although free (or $50 discount) books was a nice thing to have available.
