Yeah, i agree, i cant even fathom the fact that they can steal your car for a little bit of weed....
I grew up in canada so drug laws are much more lax, and cops rarely search you, and they rarely incarcerate simple drug users.....
I could have found basically any drug i wanted to while i was in highschool, by lunch time if i wanted to, and i didnt go to a school in the ghetto.....
I look at that, and literally me and all my friends have tried every single drug short of putting a needle in your arm, and now my friends are all successful people. Its not like we turned into a bunch of depraved animals.....
I dont think that alot of the people who are older understand how prevalent casual drug use is among younger people these days, and that is why they take such a hard line stance on it.
I know a couple kids who got busted with weed, and one person who got busted with cocaine while we were in highschool, in Canada, and basically what the court made you do on the first charge was "mediation" whereby you sat down with a counselor and they just told you all the horror stories of drugs, then made you do some community service, helping the community in some area where you would witness the slums of the hardcore addicted drug users. Then they would drop the drug charge off your record so it didnt fuck up your entire future.
I compare that to what they would to to a young kid in the states and its just fucking retarded, in lots of cases i have heard of kids being sent to juvenuile hall or something for weed. Plus if it stays on your record it ruins your entire life..... It is 10 times more expensive to send a kid to juvy then it is to have them do some community service.....
The war on drugs is a colossal failure.....
The flip side of canadian law is that they let lots of pedophiles and murderers back onto the street, guys like Paul_Bernardo who was one of the most heinous serial killers in history, end up with parole hearings.......]so in that sense Canada is far to liberal. thats why i say i like the Canadian system for drugs, and the u.s. system for violent criminals.
Just out of curiousity if you dont mind saying how old are you phoenix? I find younger people have a much different perspective on thsi shit.

Quote from PHOENIX TRADING:
Also it would end the excuse making machinery for a police state and give us back some of our constitutional rights .
For example all you have to do to have your property confiscated by authorities is be arrested (NOTE I didn't say CONVICTED) on drug charges. Heck not even the IRS has confiscation powers like that but your local police do , and don't kid yourself that they are not making big bucks seizing peoples property without due process.
