5.20% CD terms 6mo to 10 years. too good to be true?

minimum is 1K. you open online acc with treasury direct.no paper work at all. it linked to your bank account directly.on day of auction, or before that, you place order, after auction they withdraw the money from bank, on day of maturity they put your money back to bank. everything done online,no paperwork,no commission.

yup... when its redeemed, the money is credited back to your bank account. if you are using funds from an entity, you need to use Legacy Direct, which involved more paperwork (if i 'member correctly). its so easy that i even manage!:D

thank Bob, do I know what kind of return I am getting before I place the order. I never done it before so sorry for simple question. :)

Well, you do know that any type of savings account is covered by FDIC, right? That includes checking accounts, Money Market accounts as well as CDs.

rates on money market accounts change regularly. I want to lock in a rate until december above hopefully 5.25%.
