Yeah its really nice, and is often known as 'stockbrokers and footballers paradise',

Its basically the same priceband as central london/canary wharf/chelsea area,
but is just the countryside small towns version.

I have to pay £500 deposit in cash tomorrow though to the manager,
and he hasnt actually given me the 'contract of employment' yet though. :eek: :confused:


He says the £500 is just for deposit to make sure that im committed to the job, since they are showing their committment to me by giving me the job and training me for it.

And i cant really say i ''distrust the regional head of security for a government based police agency'',
but it does seem abit 'unprofessional' that they want someone to pay them £500 in cash. :confused:

Congrats on the new job mate!

You should be careful though. I don't know about UK, but here in the US that would be a red flag for fraud. A company should never charge you up front for employment training. As mater a fact, a potential employer should never charge you for anything. If I were you, I'd do a little research into the company's past before handing them $500.
 
Be careful spanish, I've never heard of anyone having to pay upfront for a job before - make sure you've signed and read that contract before you hand over the money.
 
thats the thing though, its not 'a compnay',
i will actually be working for the UK local government.

And il be working alongside the police (physically alongside the police since they have their control room nextdoor to ours and even though neither of us are legally allowed in eachother control-rooms we have a constant radio link to eachother).


This department is actually inside the council bourgh headquaters office though.

(In UK often courts, police stations, libaries, coucil tax, and all othe government services have their departments in the same building complex)



So this is a genuine department, but this manager seems very dodgy. :confused:
he hasnt even given me a basic contract saying ''you have this job at this rate of pay once you have completed training'',
hes just verbally told me that i have the job guaranteed but that he cant actually give me a written offer UNTIL i have done the training and qualification.

Tell him to take the money each week from your salary and see what he says then.

Do your self a fovour spanny, tell him to fuck off and stick that 500 into your trading account - you can do it.

Bloomberg News survey expects that
- crude oil supply will increase by 1.25 million barrels in the week ended April, 3 from 359.4 million the previous week.
- Refinery runs flat at 81.7 percent of capacity.
- Gasoline stockpiles probably dropped 1.5 million barrels from 216.8 million the prior week.
- Supplies of distillate fuel probably declined 350,000 barrels.
