5% - 10% profit per day trading

well like i said dow fell to 8766, halted there and boucned slightly, and now broke through.. :)


now just need to have about 20ticks fall in oil and im done for the day.
 
This is the 5% to 10% profit per day trading thread so what stocks do you all recommend to achieve that or come close?

Honestly, it is very straightforward... I won't say simple because that is relative. For me it is simple, others said it was not simple for them for noise/whipsaw reasons... In any event, what you can do is construct a live heat map of the stock market. If that is complicated, you can google for a bunch of them. Pick a day and monitor a live heat map. Make sure the heat map is based off the open price at 9:30 est. Then monitor. What you will see is that your 5% to 10% winners all have to start somewhere and at 9:30 est, they are all ZERO. From the open, they begin to bubble up to the top of the heat map. Certainly there is volatility but as you will see, the price change is relatively smooth. By close you will always see at least a 5% winner. Descent days for me are the 20%+. If you're unbiased, you can short the opportunities on the downside. THEN... THINK VERY HARD ABOUT HOW YOU CAN TRADE WITH THE ACTION. Later on you will see how to trade in front of it. It is not hard. If you apply indicators to the heat map you are overshooting what is required when it is required. The heat map does not predict, it is real time and tradeable... If the universe of stock is too large for you, pick a random set of stock names. Even simpler, begin by working with the universe of ETFs. Once you are moving real capital around, you will then begin sifting out the names that cannot handle the amount of capital you need to move. At that point, you can diversify your capital into various sectors.

But it is easier to make bigger gains on a daily basis with stocks than ETFs, you know?

This is the 5 to 10 percent profit daily thread so can any of you please post any specific stock picks here?
