same here proph. Got back from the pub quite late which happened to be the time of the dows low tick! Bought it and closed it this morning for £1000!! :)

New i'd hit 30k today :)

I promised myself a while ago that id stop posting but i didn't, lol, but im gonna try harder this time. I can't learn anything else from this thread, and there's no point in sticking around posting my profit/loss each day. Cant keep up with porph anyway!! :)

For the record Spanish, I dont have any money to fall back on either and would also be homeless, but ive gone from 2k to 30k now and i know i can make at least a grand a week now so am not concerened about that anymore.

Good luck all.

nice one blackjack. I think I hit 81k this morning which was nice! keep us updated from time to time.

shame everyone's leaving. I'll keep posting in the spirit of the 5-10% per day idea.

I dont usually trade on friday afternoons as the volume and liquidity is off.

Taken profits of about £11,500 since my cutoff point last night when I last posted my results.

Balance at £82,489.

how long you been trading porph? I first started learning about it back in January this year and went live with a small account in about March. Since then I've made very little profit and I'm almost ready for giving up, but when I see posts like yours it gives me the drive to continue on.

Congratulations! (again)

cheers banksie.

I first learnt about derivatives etc at uni about 3-4 years ago. Didnt really take it seriously until about 18 months ago. Lost plenty of money in my first 6 months, went and demo traded for 10 months with good results eventually and now I'm back live trading and exceeding all of my expectations.

I will come back abit, but more to try and learn from porph about the style he trades in, so i can keep earning but with less risk.

I had another very unlucky day, and unlucky is the only word for it. :(

That big trade i closed it just above $50, so lost about 1,500quid from it, but had made 500quid yesterday so its a loss of about 1000. :(

But then i saw oil starting to struggle at 50.26, it could rise, and started to slide, so i sold at the top of a spike with 30ticks s/l, taget was 60ticks down, but as i went into profit i moved stoploss in and in till at end it was only 11ticks, when i went to profit of 13.

I had set target, and went back to sleep.

Oil spiked up 3ticks past my tight stoploss so took me out the trade, then fell back down and just hit where my target had been set!!! :(

BUT cos i was asleep i wasnt able to cancel that target order once the 1st trade had been taken out...!

And so it automatically got filled as a buy order from 49.66, with default 100ticks stoploss.

However as it had been perfect exit level oil went straight back up, and went all teh way up to its daily high from there,
so at 1point my screen was in over £200 profit!!

But then it went down and down, i finally wokeup, remeber about that taget order, check, and its been stopped out losing me £200 more. :'(

Of course, you had nothing to do with the decision to take that particular trade.

You are not responsible for the trades that occur in your account (unless they win).

Learn to take responsibility for your trades and learn from your mistakes and improve yourself as a trader.

But of course if it is only luck it won't always be with you.
