I’m not sure what to say about today…I got on the dow selling and picked up some major moves (I think they summed to over 350pts) but I gambled somewhat on my position sizes which was totally against my trading plan and could have cost me 20% of my account. I don’t normally take trades in correlating markets unless short/long which I broke today…. However I got v lucky and cashed in over 7k in profits to bring my balance to 35k.. more details + screenshot when I get home around 8..

how abt save money for a rainy day

Fuck 12k in 2days!!!

Well done mate.

And nicely done making over £1,000 today jakker.

I followed my stratergy of buying up the lowest 2/6s to get the pullback,
however i turned down £200 as it wasnt my near my target level,
and then oil slid down more. :(

I added long on at 56.33, cashed that one in for £46 profit for the day,
but still stuck in that dow long with a loss of over £1,000 on it, could lose £1,300 on it.

And holding £5 long on oil from 57.42, target set at 59.26.
But 80cents offside on that trade now too!! :( :(

Please can you guys tell me what you are basing your 'still selling oil and dow everyday'' on??

Cos when i look at the chart and see 800points down already in the previous 2days, i see it as a strong buy, not sell then.

And same with oil,
seeing it down $10 in 2days i see that as a strong buy for a pullback of atleast $2s!!

But everyday it keeps fucking on me a there is no bounces!!

So i really wnat to know what you guys are basing your sells on from early in the morning each day???

So i could try getting in on them too.

you trade based on s/r right?

wheres the next support on the dow?

did the trade you took on it last night have any support under it?

I trade much larger timescales than jakker and porph do though.

For example the dow trade i made was based on the monthly chart.
I had wanted abuy from 8600, but the next big support level was around the 8300 level.

Put my s/l at 8260 for it.

I made teh trade cos we had fallen 600+ straight down in 2days, and so this should always be followed by bounce.
Same with oil.

Im now just having alot of stress as the bounce is trying to delay itself coming for as long possible!! :( :(

Spanish, the outlook everywhere is negative with companies going bankrupt, unemployment figures rising etc etc.

Sometimes you have to go with the flow rather than being contrarian.

Made some of my profits today on 2 dow sells where there was a pullback up to levels of short term resistance. Both orders were predetermined with limits orders.

Closed out with over 320pts in total for those two.

Also traded a lot of smaller positions on pullbacks in crude.

Broke my rules on total directional exposure but I guess it worked out today.

Profit of £7493.65 of which some of it was last night after my last posting.

Balance up to £35,005.23 from £5,000 after 15 trading days.

doing good traders :)

Good return today mr proph. Took a similar amount from the market myself today, but it really should have been LOTS more. My nightly systems homework came up very negative for todays session. Should have had a bit more confidence in the trade. Still managed a few hundred points though.... :)
