MORNING.
Already made 85 pips on a short on the spx. Promised myself I wouldn't trade it with this stupid 20pip spread but it was just asking for it, lol.

Do you use stops? If so how big? You just use support and resistance like the rest of us?

I did start with 5k though so I take my hat off to both of you, especially as I have a full time job to fall back on.
I tend to form a fundamental view and then look for the price action to confirm it. I do use stops but the order I go through is a) identify at what point the price has invalidated what I thought was going to happen b) risk no more than 3-4% capital c) this tells me how many units I want to buy/sell.
I do quite a few short scalp type trades where I tend to use a much tighter stop ~30pts and scale out and trail a stop quite quickly.
Ive seen large drawdowns before but find overall I do OK.
Was stopped out of that last trade with my trailing stop to bring my balance to just over £13,200. Might have to withdraw some cash soon as my car needs some work doing (Honda Integra Type-R ) - Hopefully I can earn enough from trading to go full time and get an NSX or a 911...

I knew lastnight that if dow recoverd overnight id be fucked, and so i sholnt have taken the risk of selling overnight, and instead should have waited for the morning.
But the greed of all this money is getting to my mind. :/
I watched it rocket up nearly $2s against me during asian trading, but i knew that it was gna pullback though even if dow went higher.
So just got out bed in the morning when oi was at its higest, dropped an extra £1 sell from 69.52 area, and then just left all 4 on and went back to bed, setting price text alerts on my phone.
And so i ot texts as oil was falling, got outta bed and dumped all the sells at 67.42, and thats the end of it. lol
£326 profit for that.
Im taking the rest of the day off now though, and maybe even tomorrow, as i need to refocus my mind and get out of this greedy mindset that ive fallen into.
SInce i made some incredible trades, was holding £5 per tick long back from an average price price of under $63, yet dumped them all in the $64s!
Then yesterday i had seen the move happening since the beginng of the week, had gotten in £5 long from just over $64, but instead of holding out to 67.86, i cashed it in for barley anything and then had to work so so hard all dy to just make up to not even as much as i would have from that move!
And then i got greedy and started trying to sell down few ticks above 67.86, when i didnt even let me long run on there the day before!!
Ive still made £2,376 so far this week, but i dont feel happy, because i know inside i should have made ALOT more.

Aloha mate, i started having to make a living of £759!!
Now i keeping £9,000 in trading account an have withdrawn £2,500 to keep in cash in my flat. lol
Its not easy at all doing it from such low capital, especially if you have nothing else and no other job to fall back on..
But when you have no other choice really to make money, you have the choice of ither not eating an living on the streets, or trading to keep on lviing a normal life.
I lived on the streets enough times now, and so decided to just trade instead as its warmer! lol
Trading really isnt that hard mate, you just need to overcome thinking it is and then it does become easy.
Cos no matter what anyone says, it is just as easy to make as much money as you could lose.
Even more easy to make money, a you can use S&R levels and fundamentals, wheras losing is merely the lack of winning trades.
There are only 2 directions, nothing more.
Wherever you enter from there is 1 right and 1 wrong direction that it will be going in the next min/few mins/ few hours even...,
So all you have to d is get the direction right and the rest will follow!
