The market is now impossible to position trade, or even do any medium term trades, so the only choice is to scalp intra-day, which i hate cos its so risky and unreliable.

Yesterday i got upnot too late at 9.30, had missed abit of action, made quite alot fom basically shit movement, but then for the next 4hours the market just didnt move, or do anyting at all! seriously, it just sat still!!
Then at 2pm WHOOOSSHHH!!
All the USA trades came charging in and there was ranging movement more volatile than anything ive ever see!!
So today i decided i was gna be fuked around and waste all my time, i wokeup just after 12.30 to get ready for the USA market open and the liquidty.....
But then when i look at the chart theres been a straight down trend all through the night and all monring till then!!!!!
I think a base has formed 2x, get fucked over, and lost £266!!
I then got angry and so started hitting back hard with a £4 tick and £3 tick trade, and then 1 tight stoploss £1 tick, and in those 3 trades got back to only being in -£9 now.
I accepted that ok i had bad luck n missed easy money, and so just tried to focus on the future n traidng the afternoon.....
For the last 1hour since 2pm t 3pm theres been no movement or liquidty at all!!!
Wheres has every other oil trader gone???? :eek:

This lack of volatility is seriously fuking ruining me now!!!!!
How the fuck is anyone meant to trade in conditions like this, where its tuesday afternoon, last day of oil contract, should be 1 of the most volatile days of the month for oil, yet in the last 20mins oils barely moved 15ticks range!!
The last 2hours theres just been muted silent sidewyas action.. :eek: :eek:
This is just geeting creepy now!!
And im still stuck with -£9!!

I've not really traded recently as been very busy with work + studies and caning it a bit too hard over the weekends has left little time to focus. I've concentrated on reading more books so that I can start again some time in the future when my schedule allows.
I'm currently reading Market Wizards by Jack Schwager - I would recommend you pick that one up, I'm sure you would enjoy it and find it very insightful/inspiring.
How's your balance looking now? Still able to expand it?

I made £100 profit of a nice long from $71, and took it to just below the 71.68 level.
But then i rebought at 71.39, and now got stuck holding a loss.
I HATE days like this so so much because the only people who make money on these are gamblers who just do chaser trades and get lucky!!
Im having a week like i did 2weeks ago, when was always 1day off. :/
Like lastnight i was £94 profit, saw that lastminute oil spike, tried to sell the top of it at $74+ area but used tight stoplosses, got fucked over and ended teh day down £26 after losing 120quid those trade.
Just to wakeup today and see oils crashed all night and morng down to the 72s.
So i then either have to gamble and do a chaser trade hoping that i will get lucky that the trend hasnt now finished, or have to buy the dips at support levels (like i did)!
You made anything today though blackjacker??

Ive got just under £7,300 in as capital at the moment, but i now have £200 in my bank account so i can feed myself for the month off that.
And i counted that over the last 1month contract i earnt £6,152 profit,
but i had withdrawn £1,295 during the month in little bits of 60-150 a few times per week, BUT all that money has just gone and cant even pinpoint where!! :eek: :eek:
I looked through my bank statements, and i dont understand hwo i spent that much money on nothing!!

You still just selling then mate??
What size stoploss do you use??
And can i ask if you trade in the direction that the market had been going in for the last hour-few hours (i call that chaser-trades), as i dont think you physically can 'trade the trend', all you can do is make your trade and then if the market goes in your favour you are then in and trading the trend.
But do you trade of reteactments calling the tops and bottoms??
Or trade in the direction of the previous trend??
