aloha mate, um what time frame would you be looking for that trade?

well, i'm looking at the dow and gasoline going higher to bring oil higher, and we're close to the highs now. not sure if they'll take out the highs though. if it happens i think it'll be within the hour, likely within 30 minutes. my trading is random though, sometimes i'll scalp for 10-20 ticks, sometimes i hold for an hour.


note: i've only been trading for a year (gold mostly) so i don't really know what i'm doing yet. the rules totally changed for gold after the meltdown so i switched over to crude oil and it's been very good to me these past few weeks

Aloha mate, you know me, and im not into telling anyone how to trade or when to trade since everyone how their own style that works for them...

But i would advise that you wait till nearer the close 1hour from now, to see how oil reacts between now and then.

And consider how you feel about holding a sell over the weekend with opec out there??



Cos if the last few fridays are anything to go by they close out at/near the highs.
 
i never hold over night or weekends, especially with the announced cuts in production i'm only trading for 15min-60min time frames. usually much shorter than that. i think we could see an explosion in oil, especially if the dow rallies

maybe, depends on if heating oil short squeezes, and how much other traders want to dump any short traders before weekend.


I dont trade by looking and trying to anticpate what will/could happen though...,

I instead look and see what would be a great opportunity..,
And then if market does go there i kill the market then! :D :cool: :p


If it doesnt go there.., oh well, atleast i didnt lose any money and i didnt have to have any stress or fear as didnt risk any of my money. :)


So i just wait till next time for when the perfect opportunity does come.

couldn't pull the trigger on this trade as it happened in the final minute of trading... argh.
