Quote from Businessman:
In about 48 hours CL has dropped from 41.8 at one point to a low of 33.5. A fall of 20% in two days.
Its probably still the most volatile commodity out there.
The daily hi-low ranges in the last week have average between 300 and 500 ticks a day, that is still great volatility compared to the DOW, ES and most currencies.
lol
Yeah it did fall that much, but thats not 'volatility', as there was no fast paced movement in both directions...
It was just 1 really really slow drawn out elongated down move, that kept pausing and consolidating before dropping more, with lots of sideways crap as well.
I even managed to get my sell in at 41.46 just minutes before it tanked,
and even though im not into holding trades for long when they go into profit,
No-one else here either would see the market having already fallen 2 t 3dollars vertically, and so decide that that would be a good time to sell and stick their target 5dollars lower!
