The SP went up ~700 points since the start of the year.

In the ES, 700 points @ $50 per point is $35,000 per contract.

Ergo, if you had just gone long 30 contracts at the start to the year, you'd have your million. (1.05 million to be exact on the gross).

This is the last time I am doing this math for you.

500x30 is $15,000, yes? Do you understand this math?

Let's take this slow, like you apparently are.

On overnight positions, it flips to the exchange minimum, which is currently $12,980 per contracts.

So on 30 contracts, the maintenance is ~389K.
