The Big Short is a great book though. I didn't really enjoy the movie.

I enjoyed both movies. Never read the books of either.

It was surreal how bad it was save for Bettany's acting. Dude was the movie. They didn't even mention the copula or how it became this lightbulb moment. Just poorly, poorly written (albeit PB's dialogue was good).

Nobody can run VaR or vol-shift on a portfolio. Hmm, sure, ok.

I thought it was a good movie. It showed the various personality types Wall Street bank in a three dimensional way (except for Jeremy Irons).

Irons was hilarious. So bad. I thought Bettany and the young cutthroat jr partner (opposite Demi) did a good job with the material. Spacey was excellent as always.

Worst casting since "Margin Call" save for Bettany. He was excellent.

I dunno Burry enough to make the call but didn't really buy Bale's attempt at Asperger's
