Well, firstly, whole of Europe isn't one currency. Secondly, not everything for which there is a European precedent is likely to be extended to the whole world.

The fed has exported its policy to China via the currency peg, politically and militarily the USA might be closer to Europe, but economically, the USA and China have achieved much greater inter-dependence. In effect, the two economies have become one. Economic theory tells us, first the customs union, then the monetary union and finally political union.

A Sino-American currency and alliance is the end of history as we know it, it will yield hegemony over this planet earth for all time, there is no entity in this world that can take on this behemoth, not the EU not India, not anybody.

I am really not sure who's exporting whose economic policy where, to be honest. I completely agree that US and China have achieved economic interdependence, but I would question whether it's sustainable in the long term. In fact, judging by the crisis and its aftermath, the sort of "economic cooperation" that characterizes the Sino-American relationship is anything but sustainable. So I really have a VERY hard time imagining the world governed by US and Chinese interests.
