41% of Americans want to abolish free speech

Nothing in the movie or the editorial should be outlawed. Though extremely poor form, there was nothing in there that promised imminent violence (though the paper came close). The quote in question was:


"I think the appropriate, and politically correct, term is regime change. Forgive me for being blunt, but throughout history this has previously been accompanied by execution by guillotine, firing squad, public hanging.

"I have absolutely no reason to expect that current practice should be any different," the writer said in a letter published on Memorial Day.​

Nothing in this should be illegal, and nothing in it IS illegal under current law.
 
Would this be hate speech? It was said very publicly by a black man who also happens to be a Muslim. Famous for his stomp on the flag challenge.
"I say, if they don’t get out of town, we kill the white men, we kill the white women, we kill the white children, we kill the white babies, we kill the blind whites, we kill the crippled whites, we kill the crazy whites, we kill the faggots, we kill the lesbians, I say god dammit we kill ‘em all."

Now I wonder what would happen if a white preacher type said something like this and just inserted a different racial component. Ya' think it might make nation news?

That clearly states intent for violence, and should be prosecuted. It won't, because of double standards, but it's obvious.

There is a vast difference in saying that execution would be appropriate and threatening to actually do it. Or trying to incite a mob to do it.

Of course, but our resident leftists seem hesitant to call it what it is. They "know it when they see it", they just won't acknowledge it, unless of course the white devil says it. Then they're all over it. Ask them if their hate speech law will be applied across the board regardless of race. Crickets. Ask them if a black person can be a racist? Crickets. Ask them if anyone other than a white person can be guilty of damn near anything. Crickets.

Congratulations on being a thinking person. Sadly there are but a few in the ranks of the left. How do I know that? If this were a white guy stomping all over a picture of Allah or some other revered symbol and saying, all Muslim/Black/Gay men need to die. All Muslim/Black/Gay women need to die. All Muslim/Black children need to die, etc., etc. I do believe it would be a MUCH bigger story.
