Nothing in the movie or the editorial should be outlawed. Though extremely poor form, there was nothing in there that promised imminent violence (though the paper came close). The quote in question was:

"I have absolutely no reason to expect that current practice should be any different," the writer said in a letter published on Memorial Day.
Nothing in this should be illegal, and nothing in it IS illegal under current law.
