41% of Americans want to abolish free speech

Yeah, I don't think the world is waiting for me to decide. I'm just saying, as you keep ignoring, that a line needs to be drawn. Why is this so difficult for you to grasp? We live in a land of laws. This would just be another one.
Okay, should members of the cult of global warming be jailed for stating climate deniers should be executed?

Should I also solve world hunger and disease while I'm at it? Or, because I cannot personally solve those problems either, should we also just dismiss them altogether?

It's not the same, because no one is saying "World hunger is fine as it is". No one wants world hunger. No one. Everyone is open to the idea of solving it and there are a number of initiatives under way to combat it constantly.

Try to keep this apples to apples, will ya?

So then you're saying free speech is "fine as it is," hate speech and all?

Yes. I am saying that the system as it is now is the best solution that is possible. Do I like hate speech? Not at all. That church that protests military funerals makes my blood rage. But they have a right to do it, and that right should be protected. I don't see any way of drawing a line in the sand that is clear for everyone and cannot ever be moved. Therefore, the status quo is the best alternative.

Declaration of intent to harm is not covered under free speech.
