You make some reasonable points but we differ on the seriousness of pirates feeling free to kill American citizens.

Its only happened twice but there has only been 2 US hijackings since Obama has been president.


I don't think the pirates feel free to kill American citizens.Considering less then 1 % of Somali hijackings are US ships it seems they avoid US ships.

Obama wasn't the president who started the US policy of not negotiating with terrorist,but he is right to continue that policy even if a few US citizens have to die.I also have little sympathy for people who choose to sail in pirate infested waters when they know the dangers of doing so.

I haven't read much on the Pakistan situation but its my understanding that if spies get caught they are on their own,been that way since the 50's.
