4 monitors on laptop - is it possible?

16k for a mirror seam? sounds not worth it. I can live with the bezel for less than 1/10 of the price. just wait until they come out with a 37 or 40" LCD monitor.

dino, you know nothing, increasing the values of the front porch and back porch values of a VGA output signal has nothing to do with frying ones power supply and motherboard.

Not the only two. I've been using a German-made VTBook card with my trading notebooks for several years, trouble-free. Hard to beat bang for the buck @$249 and up.

An alternate solution is this pci extender for notebooks that accepts pci cards including matrox video cards. Cheaper than the sidecar product.
