3rd highest of all time. What is kind of creepy about this, was that the numbers were almost all the same as the numbers hugo played to win the near record jackpot in LOST. The winning numbers tonight were 4, 8, 15, 25, 47, 42. In the show lost, the numbers were 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 so only 2 numbers off. Pretty creepy.

the odds of getting 4 numbers right (as Lost did) is 1 in 14,000. the odds of getting all 6 right is 1 in 195,000,000.

there were probably hundreds if not thousands of winning tickets with 4 correct numbers. what Lost did was hardly remarkable or "creepy".

Dont forget to factor in that on the show, he won a near record jackpot, and this jackpot was the 2nd largest ever. That should factor into the odds a little bit too. Lets see if one of the winners is a big fat guy now. :)
 
the lotteries are not rigged...the state lottery pays millions in winnings.....to second prize third prizes..it's really random and slots are random too...and the guys at the blackjack table don't cheat either or rig the game..even sport betting is not rigged like this market.
 
Yea, yea, thats why I dun picked dem numbers, plus I did me some special education math and changed a few, and now i am one rich sucker. First thing I gonna do is by me a politician, and then shoot life is good from then on.
 
It's funny to watch people who have no understanding of odds play the lotto. AIR the odds of picking the winning combo are something like 175 million to one. Take 27 coins and throw them up in the air. The odds of all of them being heads is about 134 million to 1. Easier than winning the lotto. :D

I once rolled six 6s in a row (on a six sided die). Such an amazing feat that it is still talked of to this day. Yet the odds on that? A paltry 46,656 to 1.
