Google says its reached 10.2% in 2009.
This looks much worse now to me compared to 2009.
There will be a lot of fat laid off, along with some good staff.
Companies wont he hiring that fat back in a hurry.
Where i am at least 32% of the software team is fat. Hired because times were good and budgets were loose.

Heart Attacks, might reduce this some what, it seems sitting on your ass for weeks in the house, stressed about a fake apocalypse while eating junk food and too much booze = LOADS of heart attacks recently.

May be due to Viral load.
If the load is big enough then even a fit and young person will die.
Whereas a much smaller load is needed to take out an old person or sick person.
Even if healthy and young, if you get exposed to too much too quickly your defenses will get overwhelmed before they can act.
The other theory is there are different strains, some more deadly than others
No, other life style factors, if the fit looking person is doing a lot of Coke then not going to help.
It's just odds, people die, worry about everyone could be you next, is no way to live.
Nearly died twice today, mountain bike 35mph+ nailing it on a descents ( not that quick on the flat, more 12mph ) nearly hit 2 trees, gave it up and headed home then LOL
And you lot worrying about 100-150K dying of this 98% old people is nothing, 4Million people die every year in the US, most of the 150K are old and likely only increase by 50K, it's nothing, calm down, old people have lived there lives, which is more than I can say for you snowflakes if your going to spend your life worrying and not living, then stop wasting the oxygen.
