Quote from CaptainObvious:
At the end of the day the facts tell us this. If you live in a major metro area and someone is shooting at you, there is an extremely high probability that the guy doing the shooting is black.
Here's another fact that seems to go right over some of these video game playing, crack free basing heads too, Capn:
Just little more than a few short decades ago, It was against the law for colored folk to eat in the same restaurants as white folk.
They also weren't allowed swim in the public swimming pools, or even to use white folks toilets.
They wouldn't just get locked up for it neither, no sir, they was hosed and beaten for getting all upity, and thinking they could live like white folk.
But those were the old days...during America's "greatest" generation.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the dictionaries and encyclopedia's and other science books even classified them as humans till about the mid/late 60's or early 70's.
You're probably old enough to remember some of those days don't you Capn?
If you care to talk about it, I'm sure a lot of others would be glad to listen.
I know I would.
Many on here have probably only heard about segregation from their nigger hating grampas, or maybe they watched a movie documentary or two on tv about it.
I imagine it might do some good for some to hear it coming from you, or maybe Lucrum or a few others.
I mean, What was it like for you guys, in those days, when you or your family saw colored folk in the same grocery stores?
Or were there even any negroes in your town when you were kids?
I imagine most were still confined to the deep south, where they were still lingering after the Emancipation Proclamation?
