Well, to be honest, I think maybe that could have been an error on your end as I believe NT7 have been working continuously since when you were using it and up until now.
As you can see, NT is still answering NT7 posts and it seems there are many active users using it.

It's fine to criticize a platform. I have and have had my annoyances with NT, too, but some of them I even discovered were due to computer issues on my end. Point is maybe the issues you were having weren't directly attributable to NT itself.
Overall, for the price I'm paying I'm very happy with NT right now. Not a fanboy. Just a happy customer all things considered.
A lot have indeed happened. So, it's possible your criticism isn't quite up to date. They went from being simply a software provider to being an introducing broker (and in the process removing almost all other brokers who offered Ninja) and now being a FCM.
My impression is that they launched NT8 way, way too early. It seems to be fine now, but there were a lot of issues initially.
It's a bit odd. I discovered it by accident as I was planning to open a new account with Phillip and discovered that they no longer offered it, but now have their own FCM as an option.
They told me this week is the first week. My guess is that maybe they wanted it up and running before announcing it? They certainly didn't hide that they bought up TransAct.

I did receive a reply, but it was a bit vague. Seems like it's still early days for NTC.
That is very odd. According to the Financial Data document from the CFTC website, NinjaTrader Clearing LLC has been a clearing FCM as of May of this year. Maybe their agreement with Philips and Dorman were continuing until this week and they couldn't take on clients of their own due to some kind of conflict of interest? I dunno. They are probably afraid to clear trades as their adjusted net capital is really at the low end, just barely higher than 2 of the FCM that had the lowest adjusted net capital if you look at the Financial Data o all the FCM's so if they really start to clear trades, and if something really happens they will be on the hook and it's a huge risk for them.
As for the lifetime license, I still stand by my view that it's not worth it regardless of the volume of trading. The value is just simply not there. All the arguments that you use to push back on what I have been saying are exactly what Ninja Trader used to say to me "My computer is the problem", "It's too slow", "Your hard drive is the problem"...I have heard them all. LOL Everything was working perfectly with NT7 and I was using exactly the same computer and all of sudden, nothing was working in NT8, aside from the changed codes, it's my computer's problem?? LOL Anyway glad you are able to use NT. For me, I was glad that I stopped using NT and I was relieved that I didn't buy the lifetime license otherwise I would've been stuck. After all, my computer was the problem according to NinjaTrader so wouldn't be able to use the lifetime license at all right? LOL
