This just became Youtube's most viewed music video of all time.
I don't see what all the fuss is about. There is absolutely nothing new melodically here. I read the translation... nothing earth-shattering in the lyrics either. Must be the babes. And even at that.... 3 Billion views? Hmph. Follow the money I guess.

Size matters~

Youtube's Most Viewed video could literally be a recording of dog crap just sitting there...and it would be So Sexy still, o_O
 
They're all having a great time in the video, maybe that's whats missing in reality for many young people these days. IMO many young uns have it tough, holding down a good meaningful job while paying the rent with home ownership aspirations dissapearing.
 
It has all of the elements of a block buster video. High quality production, good looking chicks and dudes, catchy tunes. Yeah, nothing ground breaking but ground breaking is not necessarily what is going to drive views.

Yeah but 3 Billion?..... There's 1000's and thousands of vids that have all those elements.

Elvis and Michael Jackson could release a duet from their secret island tomorrow and it wouldn't hit 3 Billion.

Is what it is I guess. And more power to him. I just don't see it though.

I just watched it twice and that is not my kind of music.
I like alternative rock and classical music.

those women... moving to that music... and the director jump cutting from women to women. it was awesome. It probably could have been any good latin party tune with those ingredients.


The way jimmy buffet takes his audience to Margaritaville...

So basically the consensus here is that its about the visual stimulation and not the music. Interesting.
