Thats $15 billion less a week consumers get to spend on coffee, games, pizza, and clothes
Yep these articles are coming about just as millions of people are about to lose their enhanced unemployment benefits next week. Most are worried that those extra billions will stop and that it will create a bit of a problem for the consumer to keep spending happily while 2/3 made more unemployed than they were working. The say they will end this program which I think is not possible at this point, what they may do is take it down a few notches from $600 bucks and still continue the program, how could they not, its free money going into consumers hands to keep the gravy train chugging along. Anyways eliminating the enhanced unemployment benefits is most likely not going to happen even though some say it will.
