this is not monopoly money we're talking about. once you get to the $10m mark, even putting it in a super-conservative portfolio (eg. inflation-protected gov bonds, dividend yielding utility stocks) gets you a very respectable passive income per annum that puts you in the top 1% of income earners on a perpetual basis

If so then he made his profits from illegal activity and thus he is no sucessful trader , sorry to burst your bubble .
As I've told you already. He built up an account from nothing 1 lot at a time at a professional trading firm. He is just better than the rest of us. Not tricks. No illegal stuff (at least for the first 6-7 years). Some of my closest friends sat next to him and I worked in the same firm.

Hi everyone.Just for curiosity, tommo, do you know what nav's biggest position was?I've read something like 2000lots, but could it be bigger than that? let's say 5k or even 10k?
I wouldn't like to say. I'm not claiming to be his best friend or even know what he did in great detail. But moved in similar circles. The London prop scene is pretty small and I was hearing stories about him 7 years ago when he was still growing his account. I know enough to know he is legit and know individual events that happened in his career but wouldn't know exact details of biggest day/biggest position etc.
I've heard stories he had more than 2000 on but didn't see it personally
Ofcourse i respect that if it is proven and legal and was consistent .
