24" Monitors having 1920*1200 Resolution Not Available in Stores! Why?

Exactly. I started a similar thread recently. I'm looking for a 24 inch 1920 by 1200 LED backlit monitor. They are even more difficult to find. The only good one I know if is the one by apply but it is in the $700 range, which is about $300 more than a non-apple alternative would be.

1920x1200 is definitely better than 1920*1080 for most uses, but the manufactures have figured out that people are stupid and think that “full HD” is better when it is obviously worse resolution by over 11%. There are a number of choices for 24” at 1920x1200 but it all depends on your budget. The NEC is the best but it is $1000 while the Samsung 2443 is closer to $300. The Asus vw266h is 25.5 inches and 1920x1200 and is under $300 with a rebate. Go to tiger direct, newegg, and amazon and you can read reviews of various ones.
