Worse for the Democrats is the fact that the farther along they push the persecution of Donald Trump, and especially if that includes adverse rulings and convictions, the higher in the polls Trump will rise.

The district was re mapped for 2022 to include more black voters
The election prior to redistricting GOP won by 13 points
The election after redistricting GOP won by 7 points
Redistricting alone made the district more competitive.Last nights race being low turnout with only 6,000 votes when the race prior to redistricting was 21,000 votes made it even more competitive for Dems.
Many republicans likely didn't bother showing up knowing there is an election in November and temporarily losing the seat means nothing with the huge overall lead The GOP has in Alabama.

It shows that Republicans voters think for themselves. Unlike Democrats who vote based on hate and what they are told to do.
That's ironic coming from a Trump supporter whose candidate uses petty nicknames and personally attacks anyone who disagrees with him. All your base does is cry about LGBTQ and DEI all day.
