Use percentage gains Tony starting in 2012. The S&P was below where it was in 2007 for the 2012 election. Bring up a chart. And in 2015/2016..... did we hear ANYBODY talkin' about "the dems need to run on the economy"? No. Why? Because everybody and their brother thought the market had topped. 20K on the Dow seemed like a dream.
And then came Trump.
The Dow jumped 30% in 11 months.
11 months Tony.
30%.
And it hasn't looked back.

No it didn't, and it finished 2009 at levels achieved in 2004.
It took until 2013 to match 2007.... 6 years.
 
Interesting read. It was written by a Democrat that started to question the hate coming from the left. She is still a Dem, but she decided to attend a Trump rally. Her conclusion is that Trump is winning in November regardless who the Dem choose as its nominee.

I’ve been a Democrat for 20 years. But this experience made me realize how out-of-touch my party is with the country at large.

As I left the rally—walking past thousands of people who were watching it on a giant monitor outside the arena because they couldn’t get in—I knew there was no way Trump would lose in November. Absolutely no way. I truly believe that it doesn’t matter who the Democrats nominate: Trump is going to trounce them. If you don’t believe me, attend one of his rallies and see for yourself. Don’t worry, they really won’t hurt you.

Fanatics, by definition, are never going to change their minds... If the lady's conclusions are correct, I think it would be best to leave the fanatics in their dream world, after all, you've got to have material for the memes mocking the other side and the fanatics are the best source for this.:D

Personally I think approval ratings,head to head polls and election results the last 3 years paint a better picture of 2020 than her.

I also think the narrative that Hillary was a shoo-in in 2016 depressed turnout .Dems and the media will make it seem like Trump will win to get voters to the polls in 2020 imo.In 2012 Dems was scared to death Obama was going to lose and they went out and voted,thats the playbook this year.
