Give me a break, Buffett, Soros, Munger are not 'conservative business people'.
Inheriting a big chunk, screwing over everyone and then running scams is the conservative business people thing - ask Trump.
But again, you ignore the basis if your own conclusion - if conservative business people lay the foundation then why don't these foundations lead to anything good in the red state shit holes but bloom in liberal blue states? Uneducated hicks can't do any gardening?
My perception of greater productivity in the Red States is by observation. The people in the Red States are usually more self-reliant. The can and do fix their own vehicles and equipment. It is not unusual for them to build their own structures. There also tends to be much lower crime rates in Red States versus Blue states. I wonder what the per capita own ownership rates are?
Although SAT scores may not impress, these "uneducated hicks" as you call them, could run circles around most "City Slickers" when it comes to practical knowledge.
One does not have to know whether millions of farmers died under Lenin's or was it Stalin's orders in order to be productive or to contribute to the nation's wealth.

By the way, the Red States have less of the inflative effects on prices that high taxes and excessive regulations bring.
I suppose Red State economic stats could be more impressive to you numerically, but quality may be the more meaningful metric here. Besides, as was mentioned before, hard word and ethical practices is what got the ball rolling in the first place by following Conversative principles. Later generations and politicians just seem to be riding coattails of prior generations.
There was a time when the word of a US business person more consistently could be relied on. This made it easier and less risky to do business, as ultimately, if one has to use the courts to enforce a contract, they will have already lost, in many cases.
People were more likely to honor their word because of belief in a higher power, also known as God.
The Radical Left has been undermining religion for over a Century. The Left mentality is to believe they are the higher power and they know better than the lessons learned throughout history. Oh don't get me wrong, I do understand the Left has some of their own rules they follow, such as in the of bible of some,

The Left relies on the naivety and the impressionability of the young to carry out their disfunctional ideas. Like a cancer of culture and community, it can spread to other unsuspecting victims, especially when the family unit has been weakened through separation or propaganda promoting putting ones own interest above family, community, and God.
