Throughout the campaign we heard a constant drumbeat about how Hillary was on track to be annointed and coronated because it was her turn and that "she was the most qualified candidate in American history." And "the republican don't have any candidates let along one that can win." Of course that was true, until it wasn't.

Now the demotard narrative- refer to the comments above for Exhibit A- is that Trump can easily be beaten because about any dem candidate would be better than a weak, shiite-bum candidate like Hillary. As I said, a lot of entertainment value there.

So much for being the most qualified. Might want to work on you script a little before taking that rap on the road. Oh, I see the libtard canned argument coming up: She was the most qualified but just couldnt get elected. Okay fine. Ain't it a bitch when the constitution and the laws apply to even you Hillary. You dont do well in those situations.

Yet Democrats have gotten the most votes in 6 of the last 7 presidential elections.No other President in that article lost by millions of votes.Even Bush only lost by 500,000,not millions and wasn't hated nearly as much as Trump in his first term.Bush had an average 62% approval rating in his first term, Trump is at 39.The other presidents who won without the popular vote did not win re election.Trumps circumstances is far different than previous presidents.

You act like Trump won with overwhelming support.Trump lost by 3 million votes and Hillary only needed 79,000 more votes to win The EC.The 2020 democrat will likely need fewer votes to win than Hillary did due to Trumps increased unpopularity and lower approval ratings.

Don't underestimate the ability of the democratic party to put up a real loser for a candidate, and dont underestimate the intent of the bernie supporters to put up a third party candidate- even if it is not bernie- to syphon away dem votes.

In addition, stop viewing the dem party problems as just a hillary problem. You lost at every level and the public offices held at all levels in the country are at the lowest level since the civil war.

The dem party has already started splitting up and there is little doubt that you will have to contend with a People's Party or Progressive Party or Trans-species Granola Party or whatever. Man, you are going to see a lot of votes siphoned away. Not a serious number in regard to the third party winning but at least a three or four per cent. Enough to torpedo the dems. Have fun with that. Not sure you are ever going to get some of the bernie supporters back and they have a longggggggggg memory.

The Democratic votes are crowded into a small number of large cities (NYC, LA, Chicago,etc.). These cities mean little from the electoral college perspective. The popular vote (which only swings Democratic due to these cities) means little from the electoral college perspective. As the article noted, the approval rating of presidents in the election for their second term is not very relevant to the election results.

It may also be time again to reflect why the electoral college system was put into place. The electoral college system was created to eliminate the "tyranny of the cities". If a presidential candidate only needed to win the popular vote then they could simply go to the largest 5 cities in the U.S. and promise the residents anything they wanted -- and have everyone living outside the cities pay for it (free food, etc., etc.).

If Democrats (like yourself) cannot step up and admit that the party is in disarray and significant reforms are needed to achieve national election success -- then the next two elections (2018 / 2020) will be nothing more than another painful lesson in failure.

You do realize the the 55.1% figure includes a large number of people who disapprove of Trump but would never vote for a Democrat.

You dont need all of them to vote Dem, even a 5% swing is good enough, a candidate like Obama will destroy any Republican.
