2016 ET charity boxing match in South Florida

I've discussed this with marketsurfer in the chatroom and he's agreed to meet sometime in 2016 (perhaps early Fall, possibly earlier) to an "exhibition" boxing match against me. We're thinking three rounds using 14oz gloves and he can wear headgear. Surf says that he needs the time to train.

Anywhere in the South Florida geo. Palm Beach down to Miami.

100% of proceeds from ticket sales/donations to go to the Jessica June Children's Cancer Foundation.

So let's see a show of hands from those of you who would be interested in seeing three rounds of boxing, perhaps other contests, and dinner/drinks after the matches.

Dude I am there. I think it's a great idea with proceeds going to charity. Count me in. If you need any help with the planning don't hesitate to ask. This is a very good thing.
 
I promised not to make it a brawl. I am not going to try to hurt anyone. I'd attempt to drag it on for at least two rounds. Boxing is incredibly cardio-intensive. It's not as though we're going to bounce-step the whole time.

EP agreed to be my corner man. Entrance music, the robe, everything.

EP thinks that the Hard Rock in Ft. Lauderdale is a possibility. I have some DSS and Navy buds in the area, so that would be a nice draw.

I am not participating in any physical confrontations with a giant like Desterio. Find someone else to fight.

Oh well.......I had Larry Merchant and Jim Lampley signed on to do the announcing. If you get down here summer/fall we should have some kind of get together at the Hard Rock Casino. Can drink, gamble, and talk about what would have been the fight of the century.
