80% draw-down? Blow-up? I believe if I pulled out all my remaining 147K from the market today, you would say I have a 100% blow-up. That is how intelligent you are.

For the sake of anybody that cares about the facts, here they are, starting from my first journal of 2/25/2007.

Code:
Result since start of first thread

2/25/2007	Starting Bal 76000
		P/L to date 526402 (Up 692%)
		Cash Withdrawal (455000)
						------
		Curr Balance 147402

Draw-down (from peak cumulative P/L)

10/23/2009	Starting Bal 635000
		P/L to date (303598) (Down 47.8%)
		Cash Withdrawal (184000)
						--------
		Curr Balance 147402

Upmove (from low cumulative P/L)

3/9/2007 Starting Balance 64094
		P/L to date 531308	(Up 829%)
		Cash Withdrawal (448000)
						------
		Curr Balance 147402

The blow-up was "expected by more than myself for over three years ago". Well, rewind three years ago to the week-end of 5/15/2009, and here is the performance which you can pull from the threads.

Code:
5/15/2009	Starting Balance 270217
		P/L to date 61185 (Up 22.6%)
		Cash Withdrawal (184000)
						--------
		Curr Balance 147402

Now you have your blow-up, you prophet of doom, can we move on?

Not defending bowlinsky in any way cause i really don't care for his posts but regardless of what you have done in the past, it is exactly that, THE PAST.

You obviously knew what you were doing back then but are failing to recognize the market has changed and has killed your edge. It's happening to A LOT of traders, probably more then you can imagine.

Learn to adapt.

These people just like to kick people while they are down. Never knew there are withdraws? Even me who casually following neke know about it.

neke posted his past because of bwolinsky. It is one thing to recognize old methods don't work. It is another thing to come up with new, workable strategies. If it is that easy to come up with new edges, neke will be putting new cash into his account and swing for the home run.

I never knew about the withdrawals.

Taxes are a bitch.

If I just counted gains - withdrawals for my trading between 1999 and 2005, I'd still be able to to claim a 1000+% return, that I was still "up" vs the market for that period. I never gave back more than 30% of my total peak gains, but after paying the govt, and spending what I thought I deserved to after "making it", I had 0 left to show for it by 2005.

Yes I was still "up" huge vs the house overall, but I was dirt broke by the end. This is what having a perceived edge, and then losing it, can result in. You can't hide behind past figures, ive been there before, you need to be honest about where your trading stands now. And be thankful u still have ur day job Neke, this is not going to be an easy hole to crawl out of.

My apologies for being cruel. I'm disappointed at neke's inability to listen and change himself. I want to somehow get through to him what he needs to do. It amazes me how he passes up golden information that could change his life forever the same way it seems to amaze him that he's losing money.

strategies come and go come and go. nothing performs consistently for too long especially in the current market environment.

did you just say swing for the home run? if one is building strategies around this thought process, good luck.

ET posters are demonstrating a hilarious pattern: Every time neke posts a profit week, these people keep silent, dead silent, like last week. Every time neke posts a loss week, these people jump out from under the rocks and eagerly express their words of wisdom.

Don't you find yourselves funny?

You guys are really funny.

I see he finally to put a cumulative running balance reflecting withdrawals. So, the confusion should clear up on that issue.
The next question, is "can this guy profitably trade in the current environment".
And to the cheerleaders........you are no more useful than the critics.
