Quote from Millionaire:

I think neke has hit a wall in his trading, his account may have grown to a point where he is psychologically effected by the size of his draw down in dollar terms.

Consider a draw down from $5000 to $2500.

Or from $50000 to $25000.

Neither of those draw downs will effect a trader like Neke.

However a draw down in the 100's of K is a different issue, especially one that lasts months and months.

I think Neke should forget about compounding and concentrate on taking 10K a month (average) out of the market, and take it out of his account when he makes it, after he has hit that goal for several months he might consider making and taking out more.

No can do. not enough action or suspense.

How do we know that neke is even a real person? This could be nothing more than a years long hoax! And you guys are buying it!

2 years of posting a journal. everyone likes a winner right? it's all bogus.

this is incorrect.

Quote from Notes123:

I just checked the book at amazon dot com, there is not much in the book, according to the table of contents. He talked about bars (seems fitting the book title) first and then lots and lots of pattern bs. But the section "About the Author" said he traded 20 years. If you are so interested in his book, you must have read the section "About the Author." Then you must know he has traded. To say that you "have no clue if Al Brooks has ever traded" is a blatant lie!

Despite your blatant lie (there is a remote chance that you didn't read the section "About the Author," then I would be wrong.), I think you are a very nice lady and a very unique trader. You are way above many many many traders on ET.

How stupid are you?

You obviously do not understand that when publishing a book it is possible to make statements about whatever you want without being held accountable or the information being verified by a third party prior to the release?

Besides, that was not the point NoDoji was trying to make. The point is that it really does not matter at all whether Al has traded or not as long as he taught her a new way to look at and explore price action that increased her bottom line.

Blatant lie? What a joke...

Quote from Blotto:

I can relate. At the end of my first three years in trading I hadn't gone outside for months at a time, was becoming in pretty poor physical shape, and hadn't spoken to anyone other than delivery people for weeks on end. Plenty was neglected. There are sacrifices.

It seems like there are much left to be recovered after your period of isolation. I`m curious what was the agenda behind this unwarranted attack of NoDoji? Are you making a run for instant guru status or perhaps craving some attention?

What made your post even more ridiculous is that you came out with several false claims and put a lot of words in her mouth. I have never heard her make claims of $5-10K per day, that was a random number thrown out by another poster in this thread. I may have heard her say that she averages $500 per day in CL trading one contract and that she is consistently profitable. Quite a stretch from $10K per day?

And like spd said, this is a message board where the intention is for people to discuss trading. The people who participates and reads this board are the only one responsible for how they use that information. I never heard her claim to have re-invented the wheel either, on the contrary she said several times how most of her setups could be found in classical books on technical analysis. One of the things she hammered home is the manual backtesting of charts and a hard work ethic as a way to learn price action before ever risking money. This advice must be really harmful to new traders, I guess. I wish I started out that way, but unfortunately I did not.

Your concern should be all the noise and losers posting on this board, not going after one of the best and most respected contributors here in recent years.

Well done!

PS: To the asshole who wanted live calls: 1) No one owes you nothing; 2) NoDoji have been posting plenty of calls and technical breakdowns in the CL journal for a long time.

On that note, Ill let my not-quite-7000th post be my last.

Nodoji,

I wanted to thank you for your many purposeful, thoughtful, and educational posts on ET. Even though I began trading futures about the same time as you, your progression and results were far superior to mine and I have always admired your ability to focus on the details that make a trading plan come together. I still consider your original journal one of the best works on ET of all time if not the very best.

I have gained much from your posts and hope that you will reconsider posting again. ET is a far better place with you than without you and I am quite sure you have helped many more like me. For those that have been critical of you, it is most likely due to their inability to achieve what you have achieved. I simply ignore their senseless, adolescent comments.

Again.. thank you for all that you have given to me and please reconsider posting on occasion and helping those like me who still need that helping hand. This is an official beg.

Wolf :D
