2006 from 100K to 266K, 2007 3.5 months from 266K to 360K

Sorry, but trading with borrowed funds is a Titanic disaster waiting to happen...Maybe I'm misunderstanding something..
Do as you wish, I won't have to clean your shit stained underwear one day...

It is the same as trading futures. Futures use 10:1 5:1 margin. I only used 2:1 margin in 2006 and 1:1 margin in 2007. Very safe. I have been borrowing since 2004.

If you have a system that is so accurate and constantly on the money, you will no longer feel it is a risky business, rather it is a business: Buy oversold/unvercovered and Sell at fair-price.

I am 435K now. thanks to AWX and KMA today.
This is for 4 months in 2007, from 266K to 435K.

Those stocks trade like 100k shares and are illiquid. Good luck gambling, don't lose.

Not even, AWX barely breaks 10k shares in DAILY volume. There's no way he's trading 6 figure amounts in and out of this stock.

Honestly, I am unimpressed. A simple double/triple beta (leveraging) of the market during this bull run = these kind of numbers.

I am only impressed by traders who do well in flat markets, AND/OR those whose longs and shorts BOTH consistently make $$$

Otherwise, *yawn*

Same here. 2004-2005 were relatively flat market years, IMO difficult to trade.

2006 and this year so far are fantastic... I question your experience level given you have such high opinions of your recent performance - Not to say that it isn't great performance, but, as pointed out above, the flat years are going to come again.

in bear or flat market, money goes into value plays. there are always money stay in equity market. there are always stocks going up.

it is just a matter to find the hot sector, hot spot.

What bank in their right mind loaned you $200k with no job?

Quote from qll:

In 2006, I have turned 100K to 266K, I was using about 200K 0% balance transfer from credit cards.

In 2007's first 3 and half month, I have turned 266K to 360K, using about 300K 7% margin.

Do you think this is a good trading record and good enough to raise some capital?

P.S, I also have two other accounts trading futures and Chinese stocks. All are profitable.

congrats on the performance.

From my experience you need at least 5 years of track record before big money will even look at you... 10 years is probably even better.

I remember working as a stock analyst in Hong Kong in the late '80s. We recruited a pleasant local who was experienced and knowledgeable. He told me he had been very long the Hong Kong market and had been about to retire - he had modest ambitions. He had been highly geared when, guess what, October '87 came along and he got wiped out.

A not uncommon story, repeated in the dot com boom by many.

For the first time, my balance is closed above $500K. That is near a double for 2007 in just 4.5 months.

My long term holding were AWX and KMA. Just today and yesterday, I used profit from AWX and KMA to buy some OPBL.OB and BDR to bet for a bounce.

I have enclosed a screen shot.
