However, your list is a bit faulty. The question with abortion is not about whether people have common sense. One side believes abortion is murder and the other does not. We all agree that murder is wrong. It's not the same issue as choosing whether to use drugs or your religious freedom. (I am not saying which side is right and which is wrong, just that it's a different kind of issue.)
