1. What school taught you that "2000 thousand dollars" is equal to $2,000??? Epic fail.

2. Let's say a big-time wall street firm calls and says, "What value can you bring to our trading desk?"

if you show them this thread, they will laugh....for a long time.

if you say "i can click buttons and stare at colors and bars and draw lines." more laughing

get more school loans....bet it all.

I don't understand what you're getting at? Although that would be the answer to my alltime dream I would never qualify for a big wallstreet job. I'm not smart enough I already know this. Does that mean I can't be successful trading?

sold 1/4 lot @2789

Covered this 1/4 @87

+$5

I decided to continue to work my plan to chip away with 1/4 lots short

Can't tell if this is going to reach new highs so would be foolish for me to close all out here.

Didn't read the whole thread, but if you've only been simming then you're obviously in for a bad surprise. Try mini lots ($10,000) until you're consistently profitable. That's about $1/pip EUR/USD, and it gives you a true indication for slippage, etc...

I'd second this.. till you get the basics down and away from the rush of winning and the depression / revenge of in the red.. using up to a full lot on only 2k will eventually wipe you out in no time when you predict wrong and your emotions get the better of you to not get you out before you get called.

Start small and use a certain percent of your nav as your max loss .. that isnt your max margin..

the over under is Oct 13, the thread was not started to learn how to trade or the intracacies of money management. OP had been doing good on sim and had 2k real and was very straightforward that he wanted to set the world on fire and was comfortable going down in a blaze of glory (reread the OP.)

The real value of the thread is yet another example why most lose. Other than Handle123, most were quick to tell him why he will lose without even first understanding what he is trying to do.

I won't trade like you and you wont trade like me and if we are both comfortable with our returns I say live and let live.

Like my Bubbie always said, "A healthy man you feed, to a sick man you offer."
