Narcissists have zero empathy and only have emotions about themselves, their own projected failures and successes. They will work hard to become essential to people around them. Some of them even pick a specific career to guide them towards their goal of superiority and dominance. Very easy to spot if one's mind is clear and present. They should be left alone, and deserve the same level of empathy they have for others, zero.
There is no cure for this type of sociopaths.
Some of them are super intelligent, realize they have no empathy and learn about it as if it was a skill. So that they can show it on demand and not get caught.
 
Thanks! It helps to understand how some people might be differently wired and what makes them tick, so as to not get trapped unawares.
 
Unfortunately even the brightest can get trapped. Sociopaths tend to be clever and informed.
And when you love one... Family or relationship, you have blind spots that stop you from seeing the obvious.

He would better have asked god to make him President again. The only consolidation is that god let Kenya West down too.
