20" and up laptops - what are the choices?

Well, I want to get the best machine there is. Simple as that. If I were buying a $499 laptop, then it would be easier, I presume. Spending 3K on anything is hard to swallow. I know that there are a lot of people on ET who are tech savy and possess a much deeper knowledge on the subject at hand. I have seen some of the guys' set ups and they are extraordinary. Consequently, I have decided to start this thread hoping to be able to harvest their knowledge and help me make the decision.

I only use deductive reasoning. I apologize in advance if I read you wrong.
1. You have a job, you can't afford to trade full time.
2. you tried scalping for 1/4 pt in ES, without success.
3. You have to sneak behind your boss' back to trade during day time. (i.e. you can't be a big shot.)
4. You think a 20" notebook is too expensive. (It is all relative -- if you can't afford it, it is expensive.)
5. You can't make up your mind on a 17", probably it is too expensive as well. (If you can make a decision on a 15" on the spot, the 17" is too expensive for you.)
6. If you can make money with your tools, your tools have no price. It shows that you are not making money yet. (At least not to the extend you can purchase your money making tools without hesitation.)
