I don’t really care either way between Ukraine and Russia. But if no targets are off limits, then undersea cables, satellites, cargo ships and plans and trains, are all fair games.

Until yesterday you did not cry us a river about Ukraine whatsoever. Today your woke tears are dripping all over the place. Where were you when injustice is done in many places? I have not seen or heard from you ever before. But all of a sudden Ukraine, one of the most corrupt nations on earth is worthy of defending it? Not in my book. How does Guantamo bay factor into this. What do you think happens in Russian bases in Kazakhstan, Armenia, Syria? You're changing the topic here, deliberately.
If Russia can do "anything" as you say then the same goes for NATO countries (including nuking Moscow) and it's a pointless discussion.

You really are a champion of demagoguery or rather using the classical Soviet era argument - see "And you are lynching Negroes".
I think Ukrainians wouldn't fight so hard against an invader if the invader was a more advanced, more civilised one. And everyone except you here understands that Ukraine is just a stepping stone to go further. If Putin got Ukraine then he would have connected Transnistrian territory and would launch an attack on Moldova fairly quickly.
 
I provided a direct parallel, the US reserves the right to attack any territory which directly or indirectly borders the US and which hosts Russia. So, why does Russia not have the same rights to attack, including invade, any territory that borders Russia and which is directly seeking to join forces with Nato, quite directly with the US?

And why not, for what it's worth he can repossess all the former Russian protectorates. Why should Germany or France care about that? It's not in their backyard nor have those people of such countries shown that they have the slightest interest in acting in a civilized, ethical, and moral manner, worthy of joining a world community of like minded nations.
