Yes, an absolute joke. Since it's a given we are passing a package regardless I'd actually rather go with the original Paulson let me do it all plan than a plan crafted by politicians.

What percentage of these folks in Congress can even read a balance sheet? From what I can tell, a substantial number need help tying their shoes.

I think there will be some diversionary tactic soon to keep people occupied while this gets passed. Perhaps they will start the new season of American Idol early.
