Early morning trades on the MYM.
(1) A short up against resistance, good for 10 ticks.
(2) A short in a resistance area, but a loss of 16 ticks. The market is really tricky here. I should have waited until we reached the downtrend line. The CDelta line was telling me short as well. The price did pull back to 24,102 after I pasted this pic, but we have to honor our stops. In this case, I did not wait for mine to get hit.
"Get out immediately" is the way I need to play this game. When I see that the market is going against me, I just get flat. "GET OUT" screams through my brain. When I listen I am sad because of my loss, but when I don't listen, the resultant losses are often disastrous. (If I don't place a stop or foolishly move it.)
A loss is just part of the game. We can't get married to a position. We don't need to be "right," we need to make money. The very best baseball players strike out 60% of the time. We pick ourselves up and try again. Trading is, in large measure, a psychological endeavor.
