$2,000 to $200,000 in 2020 at 2.00% per day.

The only PNL that cannot be faked is one that shows PNL along with quotes and an account number approximating real-time. Typically this would involve taking a phone pic of your front-end and uploading it immediately to a thread or a video host (YT, vimeo, etc). The quotes (or news) would match the time stamp of the post within seconds/minutes.

I've used that exact process due to the numbers involved. I don't think it's necessary for sstheo to go to those lengths due to the numbers he's dealing with here.

Actually, I think any type of redacted screenshot of the front-end (if you meant the broker trade execution platform) that's posted within 1 - 2 minutes obviously is not enough time for someone to fake something in comparison to the same screenshot being uploaded several hours later or the next day.

Regardless, I'm not a fan of broker statements (clean white background with black fonts). Too easy to fake.

There was a guy on here who posted an IB front-end pic and cut and pasted something from a sim-account. Someone blew-up the pic and showed that the borders didn't match.

Within 1-2 minutes of what, though? The last trade of the day? How would they necessarily know that unless they're going to post a screenshot after every trade?

Obviously the best-practice would be to show a YT video taken with another device. Harder to redact and really not necessary.

I have no problem with you... 2% is absurd on actual size. It simply doesn't take any additional effort to be transparent with PNL. You're now posting your blotter which is all that anyone wants to see and is all I asked to see.

I know a guy who did 15% per week, every week, for three years or so in 1st gen path-dependent exotics. He started with $12K or so. He's worth 200-300 million EUR.

It's not possible to make 2% per day on average in futures on any significant size (anything over $100K let's say).

Path-dependent exotic options sound pretty exotic indeed. I hadn't heard of them before and just checked it out. Congrats on your associate's 200M+ Eur. Wow.

If what you say is true about a $100k threshold for futures, then if/when I get there, it will be time for me to check out the exotic options too. Or perhaps I will just scale back my expectations and do 1% per day, and try to supplement my real estate with an extra $200k per year (100k x 1% x 200+ trading days).

I agree with you; 2% per day on $3,500 truly is absurd on actual size! But it is not the $50 to $80/day that I care about. I have recognized a big deficiency in my trading, and am trying to remedy it: I am slowly building the foundation of emotional resilience and discipline and comfort with bigger numbers so that when I am at $10k, $20k, $50k or more I can be just as disciplined. So for example, when my 4% max daily stop is huge dollar-wise, I can keep doing what I have been doing here and with very little emotion continue to follow the MM rules, simply closing it down and saying "It's all part of the game. Tomorrow is a new day." The alternative is the all-too familiar revenge trading and nuclear bomb desolation.

I don't think that a goal of 2-3% is constructive... as it will inevitably lead to blowing out or over-trading. You can trade exotics right now if you're an EU resident. binary.com is owned by a UK/German RE billionaire. They are a solid operation for retail exotics for EU-residents.

My buddy got his start when binary.com was called betonmarkets.com. He cashed out above $600K and went with SocGen. Their retail operation folded and he started a buy-side operation trading with UBS.

Sidenote - The only people I know that use the term front-end either are professional traders, work for an institutional trading firm or has something to do with software design of trade execution platforms.

Regardless, if something captures the screenshot (front-end / broker trade execution platform) with a time as, for example, showing 2:35pm and the last trade is 2:33pm while the screenshot is posted at 2:36pm...

Less likely its faked in comparison to the same screenshot posted later in the evening at 9:15pm.

What's a YT video ?

Just focus and put all your energy onto your trades, don't waste time with the crowd, if you try very hard and exhaust yourself to answer 100 people's comments/criticism, there will be another 100 coming up, and you will never satisfy them until you completely give up. It happened way too many times at ET. Just ignore most of them, put them on ignore.

Thanks.

Well, I don't want to get worn out for sure. And I can see how it could happen! I feel tired today from "trading" and I didn't execute a single trade, LOL.

Except for just one or two in the last 4 weeks, I have felt like most people have truly been interested in seeing if I can really pull this off. And most are actually rooting for me to succeed. I can also see the point of those who want more evidence of my profits, especially after the anecdotal accounts they shared of doctoring. So I will try to meet those requests. But most importantly, I am trading for ME. I won't jeopardize that. But I will continue to share what I am doing as I am able.
